Points Program (Notice of Financial Incentive)

By signing up for our Services, you agree to participate in our Points Program. Remember that your participation in the Klover Points Program is at all times subject to our Terms and Conditions, which incorporate these Points Program Terms. Any terms we use in these Points Program Terms without defining them have the definitions given to them in our Terms and Conditions.


1. WHAT IS THE POINTS PROGRAM?

Our Points Program provides participants with points in return for submitting certain information about your financial transactions. These points can then be utilized by participants to redeem a number of financial benefits, including cash advances, sweepstakes entries, fee reduction, and cash outs.

The Personal Information we may share with Advertising Partners and Business Partners in connection with the Points Program include (as described in our Privacy Policy):

  • Contact & Account Profile Information
  • Demographic Data
  • Survey Responses
  • Payment Data
  • Transaction Data
  • Device Data
  • Geolocation Data
  • Categories of Data Considered "Sensitive" under Applicable Data Privacy Laws
  • Web & App Analytics
  • Other Identifying Information that You Voluntarily Choose to Provide

Some of the information we share may be aggregated and de-identified, which will not identify you.

Based on our good-faith estimate, the value of your Personal information to us is related to the value of the financial benefits provided to you (via our Points Program), less the expense related to our offering of those financial benefits.


2. HOW CAN I EARN POINTS?

During app registration, you will immediately accumulate points for entering your phone number, email address, employer, etc. You can instantly review your points right from your Klover app. Ways to earn points in the app are as follows:

  • Watch a Video Ad: Earn points by watching ads. Most ads are anywhere from 10 seconds to 30 seconds. You can watch up to 50 ads per day.
  • Scan Receipts: Every time you scan a receipt, you can earn points. Keep in mind, receipts must match your debit card transactions associated with your Klover account. Not all receipts will give you points.
  • Take a Survey: Choose a survey on the Points Page, and get awarded points once complete. Point amounts vary per survey.
  • Link an External Account: Link your Target, Walgreens, or Kroger account (among many other options!).
  • Sign up for an Offer: Browse our Offer Wall to find amazing deals, which can and do change daily. Varying numbers of points are awarded per offer completed.

3. HOW DO POINTS WORK?

  • There is no limit to the number of points you can accumulate.
  • Points expire if you do not interface with the Klover app for 180 days.
  • Points cannot be transferred between friends/accounts at this time.
  • You can also use points to pay for your delivery fees! Select this option at checkout before requesting your advance.
  • Points-based advances are due for repayment 7 days after they are requested regardless of when your paycheck may fall. (This is only regarding all-points advances, not cash advances with points added to them).
  • Points-based advances need to be paid back in full, just like any other advance.
  • Klover does not guarantee that any particular reward or offer will be available on any given product for any specific user at any moment in time. Furthermore, not all rewards or offers may be available to all users at all times, and the different rewards or offers may be available only to certain users. Items for which rewards are or will be available are subject to change without notice. Klover reserves the right to change, remove, discontinue or otherwise alter the available rewards or offers at any time.

5. CAN'T REDEEM YOUR POINTS?

There are a few reasons as to why you may see a points balance, but are unable to redeem them for an advance:

  • You haven't linked your checking account and debit card. (Both need to be linked in order to request an advance)
  • Your Linked Account doesn't have any direct deposit data.
  • You don't have 90 days or more of transactional history.
  • Your Linked Account is not in good standing or hasn't been active for 90 days.

Keep in mind, our Points Program still requires you to link valid information for us to predict your repayment data.


6. HOW TO OPT-OUT OF THE POINTS PROGRAM

You can opt out of our Points Program by emailing us at support@joinklover.com. Given the nature of our Services, if you choose to opt out of our Points Program, you may not have access to some or all of the Services and functionalities and opting out may result in deletion of your Klover account.


7. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO EARN POINTS?
Short answer — everyone! All Klover customers are eligible for points, but not all customers can redeem their points. 

To redeem points for a $5 advance, you must meet these requirements:

  • Link a valid checking account with a participating bank.
  • Your checking account must be in good standing and active within the last 90 days.

For a points-based advance between $10 - $100, you must meet these requirements:

  • Link a valid checking account with a participating bank.
  • You must have at least three direct deposit paychecks within the last 60 days from a participating employer (unemployment benefits and monthly income not accepted).
  • All direct deposits must be a minimum of $250.
  • Your Linked Account must have some cash flow or transactional history.
  • Your Linked Account must be in good standing and show at least 90 days' worth of transaction history.

8. HAVE YET TO RECEIVE POINTS FOR PARTNER OFFERS LIKE ACORNS, STASH, AND OTHERS?

If you are eligible for the Points Program and have yet to receive points for partner offers like Acorns, Stash, and others, the Klover app will highlight the final steps necessary to fulfill the offer requirements. If making an investment or deposit was part of the conditions, please allow our system up to six (6) days to automatically issue your points.

9. WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT SCANNING RECEIPTS?

Scanning receipts is a great way to earn points in the app. You can receive 5 points for every receipt you scan. 

Common Receipt Errors

"Receipt Didn't Match a Transaction in Your Primary Account." If you receive this error, it could mean that the receipt:

  • Does not contain the debit card that is on file with your Klover account.
  • Contains a split transaction (including but not limited to EBT, gift cards, or other credit cards).
  • Contains cash back.
  • Is dated past our 90 day limit.

"Receipts Total: Missing" error message occurs when the "Total" portion of the receipt is blurry, faded, missing, or has been hand-written.

Receipts with handwritten tip amounts also fall under this category. While we appreciate your initiative to tip others, the system will not be able to accept receipts with hand-written totals since this helps identify that there is a matching transaction in your primary account. 

"Receipt Date: Missing" error message occurs when the date portion of the receipt is blurry, faded, missing, or has been handwritten. The system will not be able to accept receipts with missing dates since this helps identify that there is a matching transaction in your primary account.

Please know that if you have already received a point for a receipt, it can no longer be scanned again. The customer support team is unable to manually enter any receipt into our system, but if you are having issues with your receipt, please feel free to send us a picture of it. We are more than happy to diagnose the issue.
